Ceramic Pulley Lagging for Conveyor Drive Pulleys
Product Information
Ceramic Pulley Lagging can be manufactured with high-purity alumina ceramic, commonly available in 92% and 95% alumina grades. Alumina ceramic offers approximately Mohs 9 hardness and high resistance to abrasive materials. The ceramic surface works together with the rubber backing to create a durable pulley lagging system. Rubber compounds such as NR, SBR and NBR can be selected according to operating temperature, abrasion, chemical exposure and bonding requirements. This combination provides a practical balance between ceramic hardness and rubber flexibility.
1. Effective material containment – Keeps bulk material on the receiving belt and reduces side spillage.
2. Dust and fines control – Closes the gap between skirtboard and belt to help contain fugitive dust.
3. Wear-resistant options – Natural rubber, SBR and polyurethane can be selected for different operating conditions.
4. Easy maintenance – Clamp or external mounting arrangements simplify inspection, adjustment and replacement.
5. Customized conveyor fit – Skirtboard length, seal profile, thickness and mounting can match the conveyor layout.
6. Reduced cleanup – Better containment helps reduce material accumulation around the conveyor.
Modern skirtboard systems are commonly designed around the transfer point as a complete containment system, with proper belt support and sealing geometry being important to reduce dust and spillage.
