Metso Mining has secured a strategic agreement with China’s Jinnan Steel Group to supply key processing equipment for a new iron ore concentrator in Sohar, Oman. The project, targeting 12.6 million tons of high-grade iron concentrate annually by 2027, features Metso’s Vertimill® VTM-4500 mills, ball mills, HRT thickeners, and Larox filter presses—enhancing Oman’s direct-reduced iron (DRI) capabilities. Jinnan Steel highlighted Metso’s sustainable tech alignment with its green development vision.
