High-Pressure Mist Pole for Mining

Crushing and screening operations are among the common sources of airborne dust in mining and aggregate processing plants. Large quantities of mineral material are continuously transferred, crushed, screened, and discharged, creating dust at impact and transfer points. A Mist Pole can be positioned around these areas to provide targeted water mist for dust suppression.

The system uses a series of fine mist nozzles mounted on a vertical pole or support structure. The nozzle direction can be adjusted toward the areas where dust is most likely to escape. Depending on the plant configuration, mist poles can be installed near crusher discharge points, vibrating screens, feeders, conveyor transfer points, and material loading areas.

For transfer points and conveyors, spray placement is especially important. Sprays should be directed toward the material or dust source rather than unnecessarily wetting the belt or surrounding equipment. Excessive water can contribute to carryback, chute blockage or increased material moisture, while insufficient moisture may leave airborne dust uncontrolled.
