A Gold Mining Sluice Box is designed to separate gold and other heavy minerals from sand, gravel, clay-free alluvial material, and placer deposits through gravity concentration. Compared with more complex mineral processing equipment, a sluice box has a relatively simple structure and can operate continuously when supplied with a suitable feed and stable water flow.

During operation, gold-bearing material enters the sluice channel together with water. The lighter particles are carried downstream, while dense particles have more opportunities to settle behind the riffles and into the recovery matting. The efficiency of this process depends on several factors, including feed particle size, water velocity, sluice angle, material characteristics, and the design of the recovery system.

The internal recovery system can be configured according to the expected gold particle size and feed characteristics. Different riffle profiles and sluice mats can be used to improve the retention of coarse gold and fine gold. The operating angle and water flow can also be adjusted during installation to achieve stable material movement and effective gravity separation.

Gold Sluice Boxes are suitable for small-scale gold mining, placer mining, exploration projects, recreational prospecting, and as part of a larger gravity gold recovery plant.
