Centrifugal Gold Concentrator for Fine Gold Recovery
Product Information
The Centrifugal Gold Concentrator can be used as a scavenging unit for recovering fine gold from existing plant tailings, gravity tails and other low-grade streams. In many processing circuits, valuable heavy minerals may remain in discharged material because of their fine particle size or incomplete liberation. Enhanced gravity separation provides an additional concentration stage for gravity-recoverable particles. The concentrator can therefore be incorporated into tailings reprocessing projects, gold recovery optimization programs and gravity circuit upgrades. Its application is especially relevant where historical tailings or plant discharge still contain recoverable dense minerals. Actual recovery performance should be established from representative feed testing and mineralogical information rather than equipment specifications alone.
High centrifugal force significantly increases the effective separation force compared with conventional gravity concentration. Commercial enhanced-gravity equipment can operate across a broad G-force range depending on the model and application.
The centrifugal field helps recover fine liberated gold and other dense minerals that may be difficult to capture using conventional low-G equipment. Actual recovery depends on mineral liberation, particle size, feed density, bowl configuration and operating parameters.
The separation process is based on physical density differences rather than chemical reagents. No mercury or cyanide is required for the gravity concentration stage, making the equipment suitable for environmentally conscious mineral processing circuits.
Batch centrifugal concentrators can produce a relatively small quantity of high-grade concentrate from a much larger feed stream. This reduces the volume of material requiring downstream cleaning and upgrading.
The concentrator can be integrated with trommel screens, vibrating screens, hydrocyclones, pumps, ball mills, flotation circuits, shaking tables and other mineral processing equipment to form a complete gravity recovery circuit.
