A Vibrating Gold Sluice Box is a gravity recovery device designed to separate gold and other heavy minerals from placer and alluvial materials. Unlike a conventional stationary sluice, it incorporates a controlled mechanical vibration system to assist material movement through the recovery channel. Combined with a properly controlled water flow, this design provides a continuous method for processing gold-bearing sand, gravel, and classified alluvial feed.

During operation, the feed enters the upper section of the sluice and is distributed across the recovery surface. Water washes the material downstream while vibration helps maintain movement and reduce the accumulation of sediment in the channel. Riffles, expanded metal, rubber matting, or specialized recovery media create retention zones where dense particles can be captured while lighter materials continue toward the discharge.

The internal recovery system can be configured according to the expected gold particle size and feed characteristics. Different riffle profiles and sluice mats can be used to improve the retention of coarse gold and fine gold. The operating angle and water flow can also be adjusted during installation to achieve stable material movement and effective gravity separation.
