HUATAO Spiral Chute is suitable for processing beach sand, river sand and mineral sand containing heavy minerals. It can be used to concentrate materials such as zircon, rutile, ilmenite and monazite where density differences provide a suitable basis for gravity separation. During operation, slurry flows continuously down the spiral surface and particles stratify under the combined effects of gravity, centrifugal force, fluid drag and friction. Heavy minerals tend to move toward the inner section while lighter gangue is carried toward the outer section. Multiple spiral units can be installed in parallel to form spiral banks, increasing processing capacity while maintaining a relatively compact plant footprint. Final equipment selection should consider mineralogy, feed size distribution, pulp density, required recovery and concentrate grade.
