Product Information
Clay and mud can affect the cleanliness and quality of sand and aggregate products. The Spiral Sand Washer uses mechanical scrubbing and water washing to help detach these unwanted materials from the feed. Material is continuously lifted, turned and rubbed by the rotating spiral inside the inclined washing trough. Lighter contaminants and suspended fines move toward the overflow, while heavier cleaned particles are transported toward the discharge end. The washing level can be adapted through the overflow arrangement according to different operating conditions. For applications requiring stronger fines separation or lower moisture, the machine can be integrated with hydrocyclones and dewatering screens.
