A Vibrating Sluice Box for Placer Gold is designed for recovering free gold from river deposits, gravel, sand, and other alluvial materials. It combines the basic principle of sluice gravity separation with mechanical vibration to assist the movement and distribution of material through the recovery channel.
In placer mining, the feed can contain a mixture of gold, sand, gravel, clay, and other heavy minerals. The material needs to be properly classified and washed before efficient concentration can take place. In a vibrating sluice, water transports the feed along the channel while the vibration system provides additional mechanical movement.
