Product Information
HUATAO Self-Cleaning Magnetic Separator for Coal Handling is engineered for continuous removal of ferrous contaminants from coal conveyor systems. During mining, transportation and handling, unwanted metal such as bolts, wire, tools and equipment fragments may enter the coal stream and threaten downstream crushers and processing machinery. The suspended magnetic system attracts these contaminants from the conveyor burden, while the automatic discharge belt continuously carries collected metal away from the magnetic zone. This minimizes manual cleaning requirements and supports stable, uninterrupted material handling. HUATAO magnetic separators can be applied in coal mines, coal preparation plants, power plants and bulk storage facilities. Each system can be configured according to belt width, speed, coal burden depth, capacity, suspension height and site requirements.
How Does a Cross Belt Magnet Work?
The separator is normally installed perpendicular to the main conveyor belt.
When bulk material enters the magnetic field, ferrous objects such as bolts, nails, steel wire, rebar, tools and machinery fragments are attracted upward toward the magnet.
A heavy-duty cleaning belt continuously travels around the magnetic assembly. Cleats on the belt transport captured metal toward the side of the conveyor.
Once the metal moves beyond the effective magnetic field, it is automatically discharged.
This design enables continuous tramp iron removal without stopping the main conveyor.
