Product Information
HUATAO Suspended Electromagnetic Separator for Mining is designed to remove unwanted ferrous metal from ore and bulk material conveyor lines before critical processing stages. Mounted above the conveyor, the suspended electromagnet produces a high-intensity magnetic field capable of attracting steel contaminants from the moving material stream. Typical tramp iron includes bucket teeth, bolts, tools, wire, rebar and machinery fragments that may cause serious damage to crushers and conveyor belts. A self-cleaning discharge system allows captured metal to be removed automatically without stopping normal conveyor operation. HUATAO supplies suspended electromagnetic separators for iron ore, copper, gold, coal, aggregates and other mineral processing applications, with configurations selected according to conveyor dimensions, material burden, capacity and installation requirements.
How Does a Cross Belt Magnet Work?
The separator is normally installed perpendicular to the main conveyor belt.
When bulk material enters the magnetic field, ferrous objects such as bolts, nails, steel wire, rebar, tools and machinery fragments are attracted upward toward the magnet.
A heavy-duty cleaning belt continuously travels around the magnetic assembly. Cleats on the belt transport captured metal toward the side of the conveyor.
Once the metal moves beyond the effective magnetic field, it is automatically discharged.
This design enables continuous tramp iron removal without stopping the main conveyor.
